One of my favorite recipes comes from Bruce Aidell: Fry the onion in olive
oil for 5 minutes over medium heat.  Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Add
tomatoes;  bring mix to a boil, add chopped basil.  Season with salt and
pepper.  Serve at once.
