INGREDIENTS

2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 t Soda
1/2 t Salt
1/4 t Nutmeg
1/2 c Margarine or butter
1 c Firmly packed brown sugar
1 Egg, unbeaten
1 t Vanilla
2/3 c Evaporated milk
1 c Walnuts, chopped
1 c Apples, pared and chopped
1/2 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c Powdered sugar, sifted
3 T Butter, melted
1 t Cinnamon
2 T Evaporated milk, up to 3

INSTRUCTIONS

Sift together all the dry ingredients. Then cream margarine and brown
sugar and then add the unbeaten egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add the
dry ingredients alternately with evaporated milk, beginning and  ending
with dry ingredients. Stir in walnuts and apples and chocolate  chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake  at
375°F for 12-15 minutes. Frost while warm with cinnamon glaze.  Glaze:
Combine sugar butter and cinnamon. Add evaporated milk until of
spreading consistency. Yields 4 dozen cookies.  Source: Cowtown Cuisine
