INGREDIENTS

1 c Sugar
1 c Fruit juice or water
1/8 ts Salt
1 qt Prepared fruit

INSTRUCTIONS

In a saucepan over medium-high heat combine sugar, fruit juice and salt;
stir until sugar dissolves. Boil for 3 minutes. Drop prepared fruit into
boiling syrup. Reduce heat at once and poach gently until tender, mashing
fruit slightly. Drain fruit and reduce syrup.
Note: The drained fruit is delicious over ice cream or frozen yogurt.
