This is a family favourite and was developed in a vain attempt to get ahead
of the zuccinni crop while hamburgers were being BBQd.
Wash and grate zuccinni to make 2 cups. Add 1 pound hamburger meat. (We
use beef but other ground meats can also be used.) Add 1 egg, salt and
pepper to taste. Add 1 tbspn chopped garlic. Mix all ingredients well. The
mixture will be wet. Add 1 - 1-1/2 cups falafel mix and mix well. The
mixture should be almost like a thick soup consistency. Add water if too
dry. Let stand in refrigerator about two hours. Make patties and fry,
broil or bbq as you would ordinary hamburgers. You will find by trial the
amount of spices, water and falafel mix you need to get the right recipe.
Note: Falafel mix can be obtained in Mid-East stores or large supermarkets.
