Name: Homemade Hand Cream
Ingredients: 1 1/4 c Stearic acid (powder); 12 oz Glycerin; 1/2 oz Strong ammonia (28% or stronger) (1 Tbsp.); 1/2 ts Borax powder (99% pure); 1/2 ts Paraffin wax; grated; 16 oz Warm water; (2 c.); Perfume and color to suit**

Perhaps you don’t drift the way that I do, but I constantly forget the deep hole of depravity from which the Lord’s mighty love rescued me. Drifting does not take any effort at all; just stop cultivating the knowledge of Christ, and the evil current of secularism does the rest. All passion for the lost seems increasingly a fading memory. Jesus weeping over Jerusalem, Paul willing to be cursed for the sake of his countrymen, those things become very remote to the point of being unreal.

INSTRUCTIONS

**I use 2 teaspoons of perfumed body lotion and 1 to 2 drops of red food
color. Put stearic acid, glycerin and wax in a "crock" on low heat, until
all is well melted. Then add the 1/2 ounce of ammonia and stir fast with a
wooden spoon (this will look a little milky). Have Borax dissolved in warm
water; add, stir and immediately start beating (on low speed). Take off
stove and beat until it looks like whipped cream. When cool, add perfume
and color. Note: Use no metal (plastic measures or glass are fine).
