INSTRUCTIONS
In a large bowl, sift together all dry ingredients. Blend well. Cut in
shortening by hand or with a heavy-duty mixer until the mixture resembles
cornmeal in texture. Put into an airtight container; label with date and
contents. Store in a cool, dry pl
Makes about 13 c of Homemade Quick Mix.
Variation: Use 4 1/4 c unbleached flour and 4 1/4 c whole wheat flour.
Increase baking powder to 5 tb.
