INSTRUCTIONS
This recipe is from the mother of my high school friend Leslie Rogers in
Austin, Texas. We graduated in 1972. I haven't seen Leslie for years and
years, but maybe someone on the net knows where she is. She played the
cello.
Scald milk, add sugar, margarine, and honey. Sprinkle yeast on water and
dissolve. Combine milk mixture and dissolved yeast. Add white flour, stir,
add 5 cups of the whole wheat flour, stir till smooth. Add remaining flour,
knead. Let rise. Punch down and make into four loaves. Place in greased
bread pans, let rise, bake at 400 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes.
