INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350F. Butter an 8x8 square baking dish. Peel, core and
thinly slice the apples. Place one layer of apples in dish and sprinkle
with some lemon juice to prevent discoloring. Continue layering the
apples in the dish and sprinkling with lemon juice. Press down on apples
to flatten slightly.
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in food processer with short
pulses until combined. Add butter and pulse until mixture is grainy. Spread
flour mixture evenly over top of apples, patting it down and making sure
the edges are filled in with mixture.
Bake for 1 hour, until topping is crisp to the touch. Cool on a wire rack.
