INSTRUCTIONS
In a heavy Dutch oven, brown sausage on medium-low fire until very
well-browned and pieces stick to bottom of pot. Bottom of pot should be
"gunky and sticky". Add tomato sauce, rice, 4 cups water, onions, salt,
pepper and garlic powder. Bring to a good boil. Reduce heat to low and
cover. Cook on low for 30 minutes or until rice is done. Do not let rice
stick to bottom of pot; you will need to add water once or twice to
completely cook rice.
NOTES : This recipe is called "Kinda Sorta" because it's kinda, sorta like
Cajun jambalaya. My mom was missing a couple of ingredients for jambalaya
one day and came up with this dish. It's very easy and very good.
