~-----------------------VDRJ67A--------------------------------------- ~--- ~ 3/4 c Sugar 1/4 c Cornstarch 1/4 ts Salt 1 2/3 c Milk 2 Eggs; beaten 1 1/4 ts Grated lime peel 1/3 c Fresh lime juice 1 tb Butter or margarine 1 9" baked pie shell 3 Kiwifruits; peel, slice 1/8" : - thick Combine sugar and salt in medium saucepan; mix well. Gradually pour in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens; continue cooking 1 minute. Remove from heat. Blend small amount of hot mixture into eggs; add to saucepan. Return to stove and cook over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in lime peel, lime juice and butter. Pour into prepared pie shell. Chill. When ready to serve, peel and slice kiwi. Arrange kiwi on pie.
