INSTRUCTIONS
I rinse the chicken and pat it dry. Then I chop the celery in pieces about
an inch long and quarter the onions. Stuff the chicken with the onion,
celery, and garlic. I don't use salt but you can add some if you like. I
put it in my crockpot and turn it on low. About 4 hours later it is done
and smells wonderful. You can use the broth as the base of a gravy if you
like. After 5 hours it is still wonderful. After 6 hours it will be falling
apart. Mom likes to take the garlic that has been cooked inside the chicken
and use it on her bread or biscuits instead of butter.
