The work is so laborious, the appreciation is often so small, the response so discouraging, the criticisms so harsh, the attacks of Satan so fierce, that only the “love of Christ” – His for us and ours for Him – can “constrain” to such work. “Hirelings” will feed the goats, but only those who love Christ can feed His sheep.

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 c Sugar
1 c Shortening
2 tb Bakers ammonia
1 ts Oil of lemon
2 Eggs
2 tb Milk; new
1 pt Milk; new
Flour

INSTRUCTIONS

Soak ammonia over night in pint of milk. Beat eggs seperately and ad 2 T.
milk to yolks. Mix dough stiff and roll thin. Prick well with fork and
bake.
