INSTRUCTIONS
CAKE
GLAZE
Cake: Mix first five ingredients and bake in a greased and floured tube pan
at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Glaze: Dissolve the confectioner's sugar in the
juice of two lemons. While the cake is hot, pour the glaze on top of the
cake while it is still in the tube pan. Let stand in pan until cool, then
remove.

NOTES : During the 70's, while we were stationed in the Air Force in
England, we had a 4th of July party for about 125 people several years in a
row. We made several different desserts, but this one was far and away the
favorite. We must have made 5 or 6 of this cake, and we couldn't cut it
fast enough to keep it on the table. Guests swarmed through it like
locusts.
