Ingredients: 1/4 c Butter; 1/2 md Maui onion; grated; 2 c Bisquick baking mix; 1 c Sour cream; 1 c Sharp cheddar cheese; shredded

Finishing life to the glory of Christ means resolutely resisting the typical American dream of retirement. It means being so satisfied with all that God promises to be for us in Christ that we are set free from the cravings that create so much emptiness and uselessness in retirement. Instead, knowing that we have an infinitely satisfying and everlasting inheritance in God just over the horizon of life makes us zealous in our few remaining years here to spend ourselves in the sacrifices of love, not the accumulation of comforts.

INGREDIENTS

1/4	c	Butter
1/2	md	Maui onion; grated
2	c	Bisquick baking mix
1	c	Sour cream
1	c	Sharp cheddar cheese; shredded

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium skillet melt butter; add onion and saute for 1-2 minutes. Cool.
Add the Bisquick, sour cream and cheddar cheese to the onion/butter mixture
and mix together. The batter will be stiff. Drop by large spoonfuls on a
greased baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned in a

According to most, there is no absolute standard to determine right from wrong because truth is ever-changing and subjectively suited to personal opinions and popular culture. Most want to believe this because at our core we want to be autonomous without any accountability and restraints. We want to be God. We want to be the sole arbitrator to determine right from wrong. So to bolster support for this driving tendency, many have used the Word of God for their justification. They have erroneously taken Jesus’ words in Matthew 7 not to judge as their shield for critique-free sinful behavior. It’s funny how they use our Lord’s words as a reason not to submit to the rest of our Lord’s words found elsewhere in the Bible! However, such a position is contradictory to the inherent understanding of societal function and clearly a false interpretation of what Jesus intended.
