Browned Butter Frosting |
INSTRUCTIONS
Beat butter till softened. Add brown sugar and beat till fluffy. Add egg
yolk & vanilla and beat well. Add flour and beat till well mixed. If
necessary, cover & chill 30 minutes or untill easy to shape. Shap into 1"
balls. Place 2" apart onan ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of a
glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 for 7-9 minutes. Remove and cool. Frost
with browned butter frosting To make Browned Butter Frosting: In a saucepan
heat 1/4c butter over low heat till lightly browned. Remove from heat and
stir in 2-1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and enough
milk (2-3 tablespoons) to make frosting spreadable. Frost cooled cookies
