INSTRUCTIONS
Cookie Base: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine
flour, brown sugar and baking soda; mix well. With pastry blender or 2
knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press
evenly into greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10
minutes. Topping: Melt over hot (not boiling) water, Nestle Toll House
milk chocolate morsels; stir until smooth. Remove from heat. In medium
bowl, combine eggs, brown sugar, vanilla extract and salt; beat 2
minutes at high speed. Add melted morsels; mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup
pecans. Pour Topping over Cookie Base; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup
pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool completely on wire
rack; cut into 2x1-inch bars. Makes 4-1/2 dozen 2x1-inch bars. From
