INSTRUCTIONS
Here is a recipe that I tried this year for the first time. The result is a
spicy, moist, dense cake that freezes well. This has been popular with
friends and family. It's unbelievably easy.
Mix ingredients together well. Spread in a prepared 9" x 9" pan. Bake @ 350
F for 30 - 40 minutes. (or slightly longer, as it took in my oven).
Cool. Top with butter frosting or better yet: cream cheese frosting.
Note: When I make cakes such as this, I line the baking pan with foil,
spray with Pam, then pour in the batter. After bakiing, I let the cake rest
in the pan for 5 - 10 minutes, then lift out and onto a rack to cool. It is
much easier to cut the cake evenly and it frees up the cake pan for another
use.
