INSTRUCTIONS
Melt shortening and margarine and add to sugar. Dissolve soda in boiling
water, and stir into sugar mixture along with the molasses. Sift in about 4
pounds of flour, add along with the spices.
The dough should be almost stiff enough to roll. Let it sit out overnight
to blend flavors.
Roll on cloth covered board as thin as possible; cut with cookie cutter(s)
and bake in a 275 oven for exactly 10 minutes.
NOTES : This recipe make 7 or 8 pounds of cookies.
