INGREDIENTS
| 1 | c | Crisco |
| 2 | c | Sugar |
| 1 | Box raisins(dark) | |

| 1/2 | ts | Cloves |
| 1/4 | ts | Salt |
| 4 | c | Boiling water |
INSTRUCTIONS
On top of stove, put all ingredients in pan and bring to a rolling boil, with no cover Remove from stove and add 4 tsps of fresh baking soda(it will fizz up) Cover now, and let it cool completely....... Remove cover and add 4 cups of flour, to the mixture, and mix it well Pour into 2 well greased and floured, loaf pans Bake at 350* for 1 hour cake is done when toothpick comes out clean This is a very unusual and moist cake and needs no frosting....
