INSTRUCTIONS
Place oats, nuts and bisquick in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a
metal blade. Process to a medium-fine grain. Transfer to a mixing bowl. Add
egg and milk to the mixing bowl and make a batter. Set aside.
Heat the waffle iron. Stir the batter and thin if necessary with milk or
water. Make 3 6-inch round waffles. Serve with syrup or try all-fruit.
Tested 1998-Mar-29: Very tasty. This is a recipe we can play with. Next
time try 1/2 cup bisquick and 2 rounded tablespoons of "grape nuts" bran
buds cereal. Heated blueberries would make a good syrup.
(mc-PER SERVING 30% cff: 329 cals; 11g fat) Note: quick oats cook in 1
minute.
