INSTRUCTIONS
Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan. Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl of an
electric mixer. Beat together until mixutre is uniform and creamy. Beat in
eggs and vanilla. In a small saucepan over very low heat, melt 1 cup of
chocolate chips stirring occasionally. Beat chocolate into butter mixture.
Mix in flour, oats, and baking powder. Stir in remaining chocolate chips
and pecans. The mixture will be very thick and hard to spread, so spoon it
into the pan in evenly spaced dollops, then spread out evenly. Bake in a
preheated 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick
inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let cool completely.
