INGREDIENTS

3 Granny smith apples, cored
and sliced
into 1/8-in. slices
4 c Water
4 c Granulated sugar
One lemon, juice of

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 250 F. In a large saucepan bring the water,  sugar,
and lemon juice to a boil over medium-high heat, and cook  until the
sugar is dissolved. Reduce the heat to low, add the apple  slices, and
poach until the apple slices are just tender, about 1-2  minutes. Place
on sheet pans lined with silicone sheets, and bake  until lightly
brown, 5-10 minutes. (The Apple Chips have to be  watched carefully to
ensure that they do not get too browned.)  © 1997 Lifetime
