CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
American Dessert 4 Servings

INGREDIENTS

Sliced apples
Butter or oil for frying
Maple syrup

INSTRUCTIONS

The title of this one gives you the recipe. In early days a frontier
or Colonial family did not have as many courses on the table as in
later times. This dish could serve as an evening meal, or a dessert,
or, for that matter, a breakfast. Pan-fry apple slices in a little
butter or bacon fat (that was common) and serve with maple syrup.
