INGREDIENTS
1/2 | c | All-purpose flour |
2 | t | Wheat germ |
1/4 | t | Baking soda |
1/4 | t | Baking powder |
1/4 | t | Salt |
1 | Egg | |
1/2 | c | Buttermilk |
1 1/2 | t | Vegetable oil |
Butter and maple syrup |
INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl, combine flour, wheat germ, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat egg; add buttermilk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until blended. Pour batter by 1/3 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until the second side is golden brown. Serve with butter and syrup. Yield: 1 serving or 3 pancakes.
