INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Well blend sugars, butter, peanut butter and egg in a large mixing bowl. By
hand stir in flour, baking soda and baking powder until well mixed. Set
aside 1 cup of the dough.
Press remaining dough onto the bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking
pan. Spread strawberry preserves over dough.
Crumble the reserved dough, them generously sprinkle over the layer of
preserves.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown; cool completely. Drizzle with the
glaze. Cut into 2 x 1 1/4-inch bars.
GLAZE: Melt margarine in a double boiler over low heat. Stir in powdered
sugar and vanilla extract. Add water, 1 tsp at a time, beating until smooth
with a wish until thin enough to drizzle over the bars.
