INGREDIENTS

1 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/3 c Shortening
1 c Sugar
2/3 c Peanut butter
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 1/4 c Chopped pecans
1/2 pk (6 oz) chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

Sift flour. Add baking powder and salt to flour and stir to blend. Melt
shortening, cool slightly. Add sugar, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla to
shortening. Stir together thoroughly. Add blended dry ingredients, pecans,
and chocolate chips into shortening mixture. Mix well. Spread batter into
greased 13X9X2 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan on
rack. Cut into bars.
Yield: 3 dozen bars
