INSTRUCTIONS
Directions: Combine the wine, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, zest, and
vanilla bean in a large sauce pot. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to
a simmer. Peel and core the pears, leaving on the stems. Place the pears
stem side up into the pan. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from pan
and allow sauce to reduce into a thick sauce. Pour over pears and serve.
