INSTRUCTIONS
CHESTNUT PUREE
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core, and slice each apple in half
horizontally. Combine 1 quart boiling water, the lemon juice, sugar, and
vinegar in a saucepan; boil the apples in this mixture 5 minutes. Remove
and drain. Stuff the drained apples with Chestnut Puree. Bake in preheated
oven 10 minutes. May be served warm from the oven or chilled. Chestnut
Puree: Stir the puree and potatoes together until a smooth consistency is
reached.
