INSTRUCTIONS
Source: Cooking For Two When Minutes Matter Working
Yield: 8-9 biscuits - serves 2-3
1. Turn oven to 450 degrees F.
2. In a 1-qt. bowl stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. With a
pastry blender cut in shortening until evenly distributed.
3. With a fork stir milk into dry mixture and form into a ball. On a
floured surface knead mixture a few strokes, then roll out to 1/2-inch
thickness. Cut out 4 to 5 two-inch biscuits. Reroll dough and cut out
remaining biscuits.
4. Spread top of each biscuit with about 1/3 tsp. sour cream and sprinkle
with 1/4 tsp. poppy seeds. Place on a small baking sheet and bake in upper
third of oven until lightly browned, 10-12 minutes.
