INSTRUCTIONS
Rub lard (or other fat eg butter) into flour and mix with potatoes into a
stiff dough and roll out on a board about 1/2 inch thick. Grease a
fireproof dish and line with some of the pastry. Cover with peeled, cored
and sliced apples and sprinkle with sugar. Cover with another layer of
pastry and apples and pastry. Bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour. Serve
hot.
