INGREDIENTS

1/2 | t | Salt |
1/2 | t | Baking soda |
1 | t | Cinnamon |
1 | t | Nutmeg |
1/2 | t | Cloves |
1/2 | c | Shortening |
1 | c | Sugar |
2 | Eggs, well beaten | |
1/2 | c | Red plum liquid |
1/2 | c | Chopped nuts, optional |
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift flour and dry ingredients together. Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs and beat thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and beat well. Fold in plums, plum liquid and nuts. Pour into cake pan approximately 7x11-inches. Bake at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes. Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat 3 ounces cream cheese, softened. Add 2 teaspoons plum liquid and 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar.
