INSTRUCTIONS
Here is a recipe for really good biscuits. I got it from a cookbook that
was given to me in Georgia. The name of the cookbook is Lovejoy Plantation
Cookbook. I'm not sure if this is the "southern" recipe you are looking
for, but the name sounds southern and they do taste great!
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add yeast and buttermilk. Mix
well. Chill 1 hour. Roll and cut. Set aside to rise 1 hour in warm place.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Brush with melted butter as biscuits
start to brown. Continue to bake until brown. These can be made and
refrigerated up to 10 days ahead.
