INSTRUCTIONS
CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR GLAZE
Beat the egg whites until stiff; beat in the sugar and nuts. Add the
vanilla or rum.
Shape into rolls 3/4 inch across. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 45
minutes.
Preheat oven to 350F. Cut into 1/2 inch slices and place on greased cookie
sheets. Bake for about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and while still warm
ice with Confectioners' Sugar Glaze flavored with rum.
CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR GLAZE: Stir some of the liquid and all of the
flavoring into the sugar, adding more liquid, a few drops at a time, as
needed. The icing is of the proper consistency when it coats a spoon.
