1/2 | c | Vegetable oil |
1/4 | c | Raspberry vinegar |
2 | t | Finely chopped onion |
1/4 | t | Worcestershire sauce |
1/2 | c | Slivered almonds |
1/4 | c | White sugar |
2 | t | Water |
INSTRUCTIONS
And the surprise you've been waiting for ... Surprise Topping: Combine topping ingredients in large frying pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar melts to golden brown and coats almonds (about 5 min.) Turn onto greased foil. Cool, then break up into small pieces. Just before serving salad, pour dressing over and top with topping. (you can prepare a few batches of almonds and keep in a safe place .. but it somehow disappears!)
