INGREDIENTS
1 | Rutabaga, peeled and diced | |
3 | T | Margarine, divided |
1 1/2 | c | Peeled, sliced apples |
1/4 | c | Brown sugar |
1/8 | t | Cinnamon |
1/3 | c | Flour |
1/3 | c | Brown sugar |
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook, drain and mash rutabaga. Add 1 tablespoon margarine. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toss sliced apples with 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Arrange alternate layers of mashed rutabaga and sliced apples in greased 2 quart casserole, beginning and ending with rutabaga. Mix together flour, 1/3 cup brown sugar and 2 tablespoons margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of casserole; bake for 1 hour. Serves 6.
