INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350.
Thinly slice potatoes and layer them in a agreased 3 quart casserole. Slice
onions and place over potatoes. Core apples and slice. Cover onion layer.
Melt 2 T of the butter and drizzle over casserole; sprinkle with brown
sugar. Melt remaining butter in a sauce pan and stir in flour, salt and
pepper; cook over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes. Slowly add beer and cook
until thickened. Pour over layered potatoes, onions and apples. Cover with
foil and bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes. Uncover and cook 15 - 20 minutes
more.
