There are many recipes for Scottish oatcakes in Nova Scotia. Here's one:
In bowl, stir together rolled oats, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Using pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until crumbly. Using fork,
quickly stir in water, adding a little more if necessary to form ball.
Pat into 8-inch circle on greased baking sheet; bake in 425F oven for 12 to
15 minutes or until light brown. Cut into wedges and serve hot. Makes 4
servings.
