I almost hesitate to send this because it's so easy, but my husband came up
with it and I think it was really delicious. We used an outdoor charcoal
grill for this, but it can be done on the stovetop as well.
Note: The chunky seitan will work in this recipe; we happen to be lucky
enough to have found a place that sells flavored seitan in rolls; like you
would find sausage in; it's very firm and slices easily. We buy teriyaki
and bbq flavors. For this recipe, we used the teriyaki flavor.
On the grill, using a pan, saute the sliced pepper, onion, and garlic. When
they're to your liking, add the seitan to warm it up. Split the sub rolls
and place them on the grill to toast (this happens fast!). Put the seitan
and veggies in the sub roll and eat! You can add bbq sauce if you want or
other condiments; arugala would taste nice in this sandwich.
