INGREDIENTS
2 | pt | Strawberries |
1/2 | c | Sugar |
1/2 | c | Cointreau or Grand Marnier |
1/2 | pt | Vanilla ice cream |
1/2 | c | Heavy cream |
1/4 | t | Almond extract |
INSTRUCTIONS
Gently wash berries in cold water. Drain on paper towels; hull. Turn into serving bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and Cointreau; toss. Chill 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Let ice cream soften in refrigerator about 1 hour. Beat heavy cream just un~ stiff. Fold in almond extract. Gently fold whipped cream and softened ice cream into strawberry mixture. Serve at once.
