Ingredients: 1 c Sultanas (golden raisins); 1 ts Baking soda; 4 oz Sugar; 1 tb Golden syrup (light karo); 1/2 oz Butter; 1 c Boiling water; 1 1/2 ts Baking powder; 10 oz Flour; 1 ts Mixed spice

INSTRUCTIONS

Into a bowl put first 5 ingredients.  Add 1 cup boiling water and let cool.
Add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder mixed with 10 ozs. flour and 1 tsp mixed spice.
Bake 1 hr. 350 degs F.
