Name: Sweet and Spicy Brownies
Ingredients: 4 Squares unsweetened chocolate; 3/4 c Butter or margarine; 2 c Granulated sugar; 3 lg Eggs; 1 c All-purpose flour; 1 tb Tabasco® pepper sauce; 1/2 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips; 1/2 c Walnuts; chopped

What shall we say, then, about the command: “Be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18)? Doesn’t this imply that Christians are not filled? It looks like it. The verse, however, could as well be translated, “Keep on being filled with the Spirit.” And I believe that is the right way. It brings out the force of the verb tense Paul used. But that translation implies that believers are filled with the Spirit. It says this: you are filled, stay filled. Or, more exactly keep being filled.

INGREDIENTS

4		Squares unsweetened chocolate
3/4	c	Butter or margarine
2	c	Granulated sugar
3	lg	Eggs
1	c	All-purpose flour
1	tb	Tabasco® pepper sauce
1/2	c	Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2	c	Walnuts; chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

In small saucepan, over medium-low heat, melt chocolate squares and butter
or margarine, stirring frequently.
Preheat oven to 350&deg;F. Grease 9 x 9-inch baking pan. In large bowl, combine
sugar, eggs, flour, TABASCO® pepper sauce and melted chocolate mixture
until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Spoon
mixture into pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until toothpick inserted in center
comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack.
Makes 16 brownies.
