INSTRUCTIONS
Beat together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in egg yolk
and vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Spread dough onto bottom of
greased 15 x 10 jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until
lightly browned. Melt shortening in 2 qt saucepan; add candies. Cook over
very low heat, stirring constantly with back of spoon to break up. Spread
over warm bars. Chill about 30 minutes to set chocolate. Cool at room
temperature; cut into bars.
