Combine the sugar and cognac in a 1-quart glass measure. Microwave at HIGH
1 minute or until sugar dissolves, stirring after 30 seconds. Add wine and
fruit slices; stir well. Cover and chill. Yield: 3 cups (serving size:
3/4 cup).
