Sprinkle 2 Tblsp. sugar over fruit. Set aside. Stir together next five
dry ingredients. Cut in butter slowly till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in chocolate chips. Add milk and stir till moistened. On a floured
surface, roll dough 1/2" thick. Cut into 3" circles. Bake on a greased
cookie sheet at 450x F for 10 minutes, or till puffed. Beat heavy cream and
1/4 c. sugar. Top shortcakes. Yield: approximately 8.
