When I was born, I had extreme jaundice – so a blood transfusion was performed to give me healthy blood to make me well again.  I sometimes wonder whose blood I received, and what impact that has had on my life.  Not many years later, another event happened, thanks to blood…

The Bible says in Leviticus 17:11:  “For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life.”

Jesus gave His life and blood to save me and you.  His blood can make us well again.  But more than that, he can renew our minds and heart…Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.”   The right Spirit is the Holy Spirit of God.  He is the Counselor that Jesus promised would come to guide us while we wait to be united with Jesus.
