The Little White Assassin

THE LITTLE WHITE ASSASSIN – Death wrapped in Cellophane

He is a small fellow – this little white assassin. But like the even smaller microbes, he multiplies by the billions. He carries no gun or knife. He has no need for these crude weapons. This little white assassin is a refined killer, dealing only in poison, arson and asphyxiation. He has a way of charming his victim, so that they stupidly enjoy the processes of their assassination.

He is a great entertainer. Just about every night in America, he gathers millions of his victims and would-be victims together and entertains them with some of the top television talent of the land. He is greedy, but not stingy, for he spends about 150 million dollars a year to entertain, coax and lull his current crop of victims and to recruit new ones.

How successful is he in his recruiting program?

He signs up 4,500 new teenagers every day! These all become potential victims marked for death by poison, arson or slow strangulation. Yet, he makes them like it. Every year an army of 1,642,500 young volunteers for slow, torturous assassination, all lulled to a hypnotic sleep by soft music, sultry-voiced women and an array of athletic young men, or men who “think for themselves,” or just plain people in general who “know how to have fun.”

Once he gets his victims in their hypnotic trance, he goes to work. He multiplies himself into an army of 490 billion other little white assassins like himself. These billions are short-lived. They all die in a year, each burning himself out doing his part to destroy American lives.

They set fire to beds, homes, and hotels, and hundreds of people die as a result.

An average of 103 Americans die of lung cancer every day, part of the germ warfare of the little white assassin.

Millions die of slow strangulation, as the 490 billion little assassins burn their way into vital organs.

Heart trouble, high blood pressure, paralytic strokes are frequently caused by I.W.A.

Children are particularly hard-hit. The incidence of premature births is two and a half times higher among mothers who are victims of I.W.A. than among those who aren’t.

Babies born alive to his victims are ounces lighter than those allowed to develop normally before birth.

Even science has not yet discovered all the ways by which the little white assassin kills his victims. But more than 37,000 die every year of lung cancer alone. Hundreds of thousands more die of other diseases induced or made fatal by him.

One million children now in our public schools are already marked for death by lung cancer. This is only part of the deadly work of the little white assassin.

His name is CIGARETTE.
