Time Is Running Out
TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die” Ecclesiates 3:1,2
In our everyday life, we are continually doing things at a certain time. We awaken and we also go to sleep at a certain time of the day. We go to work, and we rush home at a certain time. We eat, watch TV programs, attend a host of social events, watch the news, we read the paper, and we take care of our personal grooming all at a certain time each day. Our trains, our planes and our buses all arrive and depart at a certain time of the day.

Seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall all come and go according to an appointed time.
Let’s take a look at our clock. Beginning at 12 midnight until 12 midnight the following night is one 24 hour period. We sleep for at least 8 hours, 8 hours we work; and we eat, socialize, and spend personal time at our home for at least 8 hours. A full day, time well spent, huh? Plenty of free time on hand we say.

Well, let’s consider the way we use the time that God has allowed us to use to prepare ourselves to meet Him. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” Hebrews 9:27. I’m sure that you have heard it said many times, that in due time we all shall die, but for now let’s eat, drink, and be merry for who knows how much time we have. “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee” Luke 12:19,20.
Just when things are going good, the best times of our lives, then without warning comes our turn to die.

Well that’s life, Buddy. “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble” Job 14:1. “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” Ephesians 5:15, 16.
So be careful, friend. “Why shouldest thou die before thy time” Eccles. 7:17.

Hey listen, God sent His only begotten Son to die so that we may live (whew, just in time)! If we accept Him as Lord and Savior, when the time for His return to earth comes, we will indeed rejoice with Him. So right now please prepare yourself for that time because, “Of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” Matt. 24:36. This points out that God controls the times and seasons. Just trust Him.
Don’t be like the five foolish virgins who were not prepared when the bridegroom came to take them to the wedding. But rather be like the five wise virgins who were prepared and waiting for that time. “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” Matthew 25:13.

You’d better hurry. Make your choice today. Now is the appointed time for full salvation. Confess your sins, and accept Jesus as your Savior, because tomorrow “There should be time no longer” Rev. 10:6.

I John 1:8,9 says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Acts 16:30, 31 declares, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Romans 10:8-10, 13 says, “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Don’t let “time” run out on you.
