Mormonism Mormonism: Scientific Evidence
- Joseph Smith claims:
- translated ‘Reformed Egyptian’ containing Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic hieroglyphics
- Martin Harris took translation to Professor Charles Anton, Columbia University, for validation
- However, in Book of Mormon, it claims that it was written in the language of the Nephites, unknown by anyone. (How could it be validated?)
- Professor Anton writes:
- document contained no Egyptian letters
- document contained scrambled and inverted Greek, Hebrew, and Roman letters
- suspected Harris was being defrauded
- Archeologist have never discovered any ‘Reformed Egyptian’ anywhere in the world.:
