- Our righteousness (worship in beauty of holiness)
- BENEFITS OF WORSHIPPING CHRIST (vv. 9-11)
- Wisdom and understanding
- Pleasing walk before Christ
- Fruitfulness in good works
- Increasing in knowledge
- Strengthened in patience “longsuffering w/ joyfulness”
II. REASONS FOR WORSHIPPING CHRIST (vv. 12-14)
- Inheritance (He has made us meet to be partakers)
- Deliverance (from the power of darkness)
- Translation (“into the kingdom of His dear Son”)
- “Redemption through His blood”
- “The forgiveness of sins”
III. AUTHORITY FOR WORSHIPPING CHRIST (vv. 15-20)
- Christ is the image of God
- Christ is the Creator of all
- Heaven & earth
- Visable & unvisable
- All are by & for Him
- Christ is the infinite Sustainer
(“by Him, all things consist”)
- Christ is the Head of the Church
- Christ is the Source of resurrection power
- All fullness dwells in Christ
- Christ is the Reconciler of man to God
