We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

[This] is not about the culture out there. It’s about those of us here—about what we as Christians are doing, what we are seeing, and what we may not know we are doing and seeing. I’m afraid we (including I) don’t have the eyes to see how much the world has squeezed us into its mold. If we could transport Christians from almost any other century to any of today’s “Christian” countries in the West, I believe what would surprise them most (besides our phenomenal affluence) is how at home Christians are with sexual impurity. It doesn’t shock us. It doesn’t upset us. It doesn’t offend our consciences. In fact, unless it’s really bad, sexual impurity seems normal, just a way of life, and downright entertaining.

Biblically speaking, there are no exceptions or exemptions for a father when it comes to overseeing family responsibilities. This does not mean, of course, that he is to do all the work, but ultimately he is responsible to make sure that all members of his family are loved, cared for, encouraged, and taught God’s truth. In turn, he is responsible for each person to function properly (according to age levels) within this God-ordained social unit.

California Holiday, Halloween 1 Batch

INGREDIENTS

1 pk Cake mix gold, spice or white
1/2 c California dried figs stemmed
Soft white butter icing

INSTRUCTIONS

Make cake according to package instructions, folding in figs which have
been cut into small pieces. Fill cup cake pans 2/3 full. Bake 25 minutes
at 375 F. To make Spooks, turn cup cakes upside down. Place a dab of
icing in the center, and set whole California dried fig upright with the
stem standing erect at the top. Let stand until firm, then ice the whole
thin with soft white butter icing. Let icing flow around the base of the
cake to resemble a sheet.  Mark off slits for eyes.  Weird-looking;
wonderful-tasting!
